• Acrylic fibers are synthetic fibers made from a polymer (polyacrylonitrile) with an average molecular weight of ~100,000. Also known as a fiber called acrylic. Usually they are used in where polyester filters cannot with stand the high moisture conditions. Commonly used with a blend between polyester fibers and acrylic fibers.
